Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) makes a plea to FBI after being harassed by AEW original
Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) has appealed to The FBI after being "harassed" by an AEW original. The name in question is Britt Baker.
A blockbuster rivalry is currently developing in AEW between Mercedes Mone and Britt Baker, beginning after the latter's return spoiled The CEO's post-match victory celebration at Forbidden Door 2024. The two have had confrontations over the subsequent weeks, although Mone seemingly has been avoiding physicality with Baker and her challenge for a match at All In 2024.
Mercedes defended her TBS Championship against Nyla Rose on the 250th episode of AEW Dynamite this week. After the bout, she approached a fan wearing a Sting mask and destroyed a sign they were flaunting, which proclaimed Britt Baker's superiority. To her surprise, the fan shoved the reigning NJPW STRONG Women's Champion to the floor, pulling off her mask to reveal that it was Baker herself. The DMD pursued Mone to get her hands on the latter but would be held back by security.
Following Dynamite 250, Mercedes Mone went on social media to lash out against Britt Baker. On X/Twitter, the 32-year-old star alluded to the former AEW Women's World Champion to be a fan and claimed that the latter had been harassing her. She even tagged the FBI and X Chairman Elon Musk in her post.
"[angry emoji] I'm being harassed by this fan. @FBI @elonmusk SOS," wrote Mercedes.

This was not Mone's only reaction to Baker's attack on her, as she previously expressed her desire for the latter to be arrested.
Britt Baker commented on the role played by Mercedes Mone's AEW arrival behind her return
During an interview on Close Up with Renee Paquette, Britt Baker discussed Mercedes Mone's signing with All Elite Wrestling.
The AEW original talked about feeling that the work she and other talent from the Jacksonville-based promotion had done to legitimize the company had been vindicated by the fact that globally renowned stars like Bryan Danielson, Adam Copeland, and the former Sasha Banks chose to ink a deal with it. She furthermore praised Mone as one of her favorite wrestlers, and alluded to a bout with her as a "dream match".
However, Baker later spoke about taking exception to The Boss, putting a lot of stock in her accomplishments outside of AEW while still establishing herself in the Tony Khan-led promotion.
She argued that she may not share the same goals for the future of All Elite Wrestling as Mone. She claimed that her arrival to the promotion on Dynamite: Big Business this year has benefited her career, believing that fans are keen to watch Baker oppose and challenge Mone and "put her in her place."
It remains to be seen if Britt Baker and Mercedes Mone square off in a massive singles match at All In 2024.
