Mercedes Moné must apologize to AEW star who shockingly quit, says WWE veteran; but there's a twist

Mercedes Mone's ally publicly quit on her this week on AEW Dynamite. A WWE veteran has suggested an angle in which The CEO apologizes to the star in question, Kamille, only for the storyline to take a violent turn shortly afterward.

Tensions began to flare between Mercedes Mone and Kamille since the latter failed to defeat Kris Statlander on Fright Night Dynamite. Things came to a head between the two on the November 27, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite, days after the erstwhile Sasha Banks successfully retained her TBS Championship against Born Again Kristen at Full Gear.

Before Mone could seemingly fire her over her supposed recent failures, The Brickhouse finally responded to weeks of Mercedes' misbehavior and quit on her. On a recent edition of his Story Time podcast, former WWE veteran Dutch Mantell pitched a storyline where The Boss apologizes to Kamille, only to viciously assault her afterward to elicit audience sympathy for the latter.

"I would have [Mercedes] Mone just apologize to her, almost.. almost sickening. And then, you could do it on the same show or the next show... I'd do it on the same show. I'd just have Mone just beat the living cr*p out of her and tie a rope around her neck and, drag her around the ring, and stomp the hell out of her. Because now... now you would get some sympathy on Kamille. Kamille is much bigger than Mone anyway.." [1:09:10 - 1:09:44]

The 75-year-old proceeded to add:

"I don't know what they're going to try to do with Mone anyway. But, I've never really been a strong supporter of hers 'cause she is a bad, bad talker. Of course, Kamille is, you know... They're gonna have to do a physical angle here because they're not gonna go back and forth with their talking." [1:09:47 - 1:10:11]

Mercedes Mone's response to Kamille turning away from her on AEW Dynamite

Mercedes Mone is evidently not coping well with Kamille defiantly leaving her employ earlier this week on AEW Dynamite.

The reigning NJPW Strong Women's Champion reacted to the incident on X/Twitter, channeling some Regina George from the iconic 2004 comedy-drama Mean Girls.

The Boss even spammed apparently desperate comments under an Instagram reel shared by AEW, asking Kamille to return to her. It remains to be seen how the program plays out on All Elite Wrestling television.
