Mercedes Mone namedrops Triple H, John Cena, and 3 current WWE stars in response to a "hard" question
AEW star Mercedes Mone recently mentioned John Cena and Triple H in a recent interview. All these stars belong to the Massachusetts state of the United States. Both the WWE Superstars are currently non-active, with The Game being the company's CCO, while the Cenation Leader will return to action next year.
The CEO made her AEW debut in March this year and is currently holding the TBS and NJPW Strong Women's Championship. She has been present as a top female star in the company and will be facing her next challenger, Kris Statlander, at Full Gear Pay-Per-View. Mone was recently asked about the wrestlers from Boston that she would put on her Mount Rushmore.
While speaking on Ginger Vision House, Mercedes Mone named John Cena, Triple H, Kofi Kingston, and several other WWE Superstars who she would add to her Mount Rushmore of Boston pro wrestlers.
"That's gonna be hard. There's a lot of people. I mean, we are talking about Killer Kowalski, Triple H, John Cena, Kofi Kingston, Mercedes Mone, Carmelo Hayes, Tommaso Ciampa. I mean, I can just keep going on and on and on and on (...) So I can't do a Mount Rushmore because if I did, then it would be Sasha Banks, Mercedes KV, and Mercedes Mone, and the fourth one would probably be John Cena, she said. [From 03:13 - 03:47]
Mercedes Mone recalls Triple H making a promise to her
The CEO was one of the best stars on the WWE roster during her run. Bayley, and she mostly wrestled as a tag team. The duo were trying hard to bag team championships in the promotion.
After a multi-tag team match at the revolutionary event Evolution, Triple H promised Mercedes that he would try his best to introduce women's tag team championships in WWE.
"Bayley and I were fighting so hard to make Tag Team Titles. I remember Hunter coming up to me at Evolution and telling me, you know, we are going to get these tag team titles one day. We are going to work for it," she said.
It will be interesting to see when Tony Khan will introduce tag team championships for female stars.
