Mercedes Moné reveals eye-watering amount she spent on her in-ring gear at AEW All In 2024
AEW All In marked another significant pay-per-view for the company. This was also a big night for Mercedes Moné, who competed in what many saw as her biggest All Elite match at that point. The dual champion recently made a massive All In revelation and is now opening up with additional details on the matter.
The CEO retained her AEW TBS Championship over Britt Baker in their first-ever singles bout at All In. Thanks to interference by Kamille, the former Sasha Banks of WWE defeated DMD Baker by pinfall in just over seventeen minutes. This marked the end of the short rivalry between the two, which kicked off after Baker's lengthy hiatus. All In also marked the sixth victory in Mercedes' ongoing winning streak, which is currently at ten matches.
Moné previously discussed how expensive her All In gear was. In her new appearance on First We Feast's Truth Or Dab: Rapid Fire, the NJPW Strong Women's Champion was asked about the highest amount she's ever spent on entrance gear. She responded and revealed that she actually spent around $12,000 for the full All In look:
"What made this entrance piece so expensive? It was All In... our biggest show of the year, it is our Super Bowl, so I had to go all out. All the extra gems, the sparkles, the embroidery... my jacket's over $8,000, and my entrance gear was about $4,000. So, yeah... over $10,000," Mercedes Moné said. [From 00:20 to 0:44]
Moné retained her NJPW title over Momo Watanabe just five days after All In. Since then, she's retained the AEW title over Hikaru Shida and Queen Aminata and retained both titles over Emi Sakura.
Mercedes Moné set for AEW Dynamite special
All Elite Wrestling will return to Cleveland, Ohio for the next Dynamite special. The Wolstein Center will host the Fright Night edition of Dynamite next Wednesday, while next Friday's Rampage episode will also be taped.
Mercedes Moné is set to accompany Kamille to the ring for her match against Kris Statlander at Fright Night. The former TBS Champion has her sights set on the current champion, blaming Moné for all her recent troubles in AEW.
Kamille defeated Queen Aminata on this week's Dynamite, while Statlander defeated Harley Cameron on last week's Collision. Moné last wrestled on October 16, where she retained over Aminata at Dynamite.
