Mercedes Mone reveals one thing that WWE made difficult for her, causing her to choose AEW instead
Mercedes Mone grabbed headlines when she made her AEW debut at AEW Dynamite: Big Business, and later won the TBS Championship at Double or Nothing 2024. Mone has had a fascinating wrestling career. She was with WWE for about a decade before her infamous exit due to creative differences.
Recently The CEO spoke about how difficult it was to work on other projects while signed with the Stamford-based company. Mone is part of the Disney+ The Mandalorian series. She played the character of Koska Reeves in Season 2 and Season 3. While speaking on the WFAN podcast, the host asked Mone if it was difficult to give time to other projects while being in WWE, she said:
"Oh yes! That's definately a big reason why I came to AEW. Even doing the Mandalorian was like pulling the teeth with the WWE, to even try to get time off to film that show. So, Tony [Khan] said, whatever I need. If I need that private jet to go from filming in LA to coming for shows, it's available for me," she said. [From 04:58 to 05:15]

Mercedes Mone reveals why she doesn't sign autographs at airports
Mercedes Mone is among the most popular wrestlers and has a great fan following. However, she also faces a problem that popular celebrities face - fans who refuse to give their idols personal space when they spot them in a public places.
Mercedes Mone has recently expressed that she doesn't do airport signings and also revealed the reason behind that.
"I don't sign at the airports. For me, that's stalking because you shouldn't know when I land, what flight I am on, same thing at the hotels. If you're finding out what hotel I'm staying at, no, no no. You come to the arena early, and I'm always there, willing and ready to sign. I autograph. I am ready and happy to meet my fans but, when it comes to that personal space of coming off a flight after traveling for so long, and not even in your character mode, you don't wanna get handed a bunch of stuff that you know, it's not even for them, they're going to put that out on eBay so they can make their money," she said.
It will be interesting to see if Mercedes Mone returns to WWE in the new Paul "Triple H" Levesque era.
