Mercedes Mone seen with released WWE star as potential AEW debut teased
Since joining AEW, Mercedes Mone has been a conduit for new names to become associated with the young promotion. She famously introduced former WWE executive Shane McMahon to Tony Khan and brought Jennifer Pepperman in to work with the women's division. Her latest team-up included former NXT Women's Champion Indi Hartwell.
Hartwell was released from WWE on November 1 as part of a small round of cuts. The Australian star is staying in the United States and is expected to be sought after by several wrestling promotions, including AEW. However, for now, she's likely waiting out a 90-day non-compete clause.
While there's been no word on whether the 28-year-old will ultimately sign with All Elite Wrestling, she's certainly getting the reps in with some of the company's top performers. Hartwell was recently spotted training with AEW stars Mercedes Mone and Harley Cameron.
The reigning TBS Champion posted a picture of herself with Hartwell and Cameron on her Instagram Stories and later reposted it on her X/Twitter account. Check it out:
"Work hard, play hard," wrote Mone.
Hartwell built a following in NXT and flashed potential many times over the last few years. Whether AEW manages to scoop her up remains to be seen.
Mercedes Mone launches new website
It's been a busy season for Mercedes Mone. The 32-year-old is set to defend her TBS Championship against Kris Statlander at AEW Full Gear, and she's been hard at work in the gym to prepare. She's also got bigger aspirations beyond that, including Mariah May's AEW Women's World Championship.
She's also continued building her brand outside the ring. In between attacks by Statlander on AEW TV, she found the time to launch her own website. Mone made the announcement on Instagram:
