Mercedes Mone sends her attacker a bold message following AEW Dynamite

Mercedes Mone has sent a bold message to her mystery attacker following the latest edition of AEW Dynamite.

The CEO is scheduled to make her in-ring debut for the Jacksonville-based promotion at Double or Nothing 2024. She is expected to face either Julia Hart or Willow Nightingale for the TBS Title in Las Vegas, depending on which of the two emerges as the victor in their TBS Championship match on Dynasty 2024 later this week.

Mone was asked to name her preferred opponent during a sit-down interview with Alex Marvez on the April 10, 2024 edition of Dynamite. However, the former WWE superstar would be attacked by an unidentified figure(s) after the lights went out during the segment.

On this week's episode of AEW Dynamite, Mone suggested that she suspected both Hart and Nightingale were behind the assault. The 32-year-old star even rescued the former NJPW Strong Women's Champion from the Princess of The Black Throne after their mixed tag team match also involving their respective partners, TNT Champion Adam Copeland and Brody King.

Following Dynamite, Mercedes Mone took to X/Twitter to send a warning to her assailant:

"The #CEO would like to send a reminder: there’s a price to pay when you mess with Mercedes Moné 😌 Who was tuned in last night? Whoever attacked me better step up soon.. 😤, " tweeted Mone.

Eric Bischoff's assessment of Mercedes Mone's AEW booking

Mercedes Mone sent shockwaves through the wrestling world when she debuted in AEW last month on Dynamite: Big Business. She has her sights set on the TBS Championship since her arrival, sparking a feud with Julia Hart and renewing her rivalry with Willow Nightingale, who supposedly nearly ended her career last year.

Although fans are excited to see Mone compete in the ring, her first match is set for Double or Nothing 2024 next month. Wrestling veteran Eric Bischoff recently shared his opinions on Tony Khan's booking of the former IWGP Women's Champion to this point.

Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Easy E criticized AEW and its Creative Head for not properly utilizing the momentum of Mone's arrival to the company, drawing a parallel with the underwhelming usage of former AEW Women's World Champion and ex-WWE star Saraya.

"At this point, it doesn't matter. They can do anything they want to do with her and it's not going to matter. It's over; they blew it. She's just going to be [like Saraya]. 'Oh that was gonna be a big thing, oh the women's division, this is gonna be the (...) Oh, this is it, a game changer.' Really? What have we seen so far? Absolutely nothing. Two months from now, you'll be looking at the same scenario for Mercedes." [1:34:50 - 1:35:20]

It remains to be seen whether Mercedes Mone will raise gold in her very first pay-per-view match in AEW.
