Mick Foley is incredibly grateful to a top AEW star for helping his daughter: "THANK YOU"

Mick Foley is a fan of AEW and WWE as he often shares thoughts on the product put forth by both companies, especially their women's divisions. The Hall of Famer is good friends with wrestlers on both rosters, from his former co-workers to rising stars in the business. Foley just responded to a Sportskeeda Wrestling Exclusive with praise for a top All Elite star.

The Hardcore Legend is a father of four. His second-oldest is also his only daughter - Noelle Foley. The 30-year-old previously dabbled with various pro wrestling roles, and is a major fan, but is now a travel blogger. She even trained with Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks for a potential in-ring career on WWE Network's "Holy Foley" series. Noelle did not move forward after being diagnosed with a serious health issue following a concussion caused by a roller-coaster ride. She also trained some with AEW's Willow Nightingale.

The Babe With The Power is from Long Island, like The Foley Family. Willow recently spoke with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter about being compared to Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy and revealed how the legend is one of her all-time favorites. CMLL's current World Women's Champion was inspired by the former Cactus Jack early in her career and recalled her parents meeting him at a show she was on.

Foley took to Instagram today to thank Nightingale for what she said in the SK Exclusive. He also thanked her for working with Noelle at NYWC a few years back, which was also seen on the WWE Network.

"THANK YOU WILLOW! I really want to thank @AEW star #WillowNightingale for her very kind words about me in this article. We love @willowwrestles in the Foley family, and I remember telling my daughter @noellefoley — after it was clear that multiple injuries were going to prevent her from an in-ring career — that if she was able to have just one match, it should be with Willow as a thank you for her support, and willingness to help her during her training," Mick Foley wrote.

Willow was defeated by Kris Statlander in a Chicago Street Fight at All Out last weekend. The stipulation was chosen by Nightingale after she and Tomohiro Ishii defeated Statlander and Stokely Hathaway at All In.

Why CMLL championship was not defended at AEW All Out

Willow Nightingale was rumored to defend her CMLL World Women's Championship at AEW All Out against Kris Statlander. However, the title was not on the line in the Chicago Street Fight, a stipulation chosen by the champion.

CMLL officials would not sanction a championship Street Fight, which is why the All Out match was non-title, despite the working relationship with AEW. Nightingale appeared on the Battleground Podcast and revealed why.

"[CMLL] are not big into the blood and the guts and the hardcore stuff, so [they didn't] even sanction the match," Willow Nightingale said. [H/T to WrestlingInc]

Nightingale will defend CMLL's World Women's Championship against Zeuxis at their 91st Anniversary show this Friday. The 30-year-old became the first American to win the championship on July 13 at CMLL x NJPW: Fantastica Mania USA. She defeated Viva Van and Lluvia in a Triple Threat for the vacant title.
