Miro's whereabouts amid uncertain AEW future revealed

Miro, formerly known as Rusev, joined AEW in 2020 after his release from WWE. Even though his run in the Jacksonville-based company has not been immensely successful, the Bulgarian star has won the TNT Championship once.

The former WWE Superstar has not competed in the squared circle even once this year. A few weeks back, it was reported that he requested his release from the company. However, Tony Khan apparently did not grant the 38-year-old star what he wanted. His future in the Jacksonville-based company is uncertain. However, Miro recently visited Coastal Championship Wrestling's (CCW) training facility. Trent Beretta and Gangrel were also spotted with him there.

CCW is an independent wrestling promotion based in Florida. It was founded in 2004 by Bruno Sassi and Dan Ackerman. Over the years, many prominent names such as Fuego Del Sol, Billy Gunn, Kamille, Brian Cage, and more have wrestled in the promotion.

CCW's official X/Twitter handle shared a couple of pictures featuring Miro:

"Thanks for stopping by the CCW Training Facility, @ToBeMiro"

Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette explained how AEW should handle Miro

Earlier this year, wrestling veteran Jim Cornette explained how AEW should handle former WWE Superstar Miro. While speaking on his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the 63-year-old stated:

"I believe you hold them to their contract and tell them, 'Okay, we want to do this, and we will work with you on the execution of this, but we need this done ultimately in a manner palatable to both of us, whether it's a match with so and so or a program with so and so, we need to put you back on TV, you need to come back to work, if you're healthy,' which he's been healthy over some point over the past two years that we haven't seen him, everybody said he was mad about creative."

It remains to be seen what the future has in store for the 38-year-old star.
