Miro shows off upgraded physique 353 days after last AEW match
AEW fans have waited patiently for the in-ring return of Miro. The powerhouse grappler has not wrestled for Tony Khan's promotion in almost one year, but there are signs of a potential comeback. Miro has just revealed a sneak peek at his improved physique amid rumors and speculation on his AEW future.
The Redeemer has not wrestled since December 30, 2023, when he defeated Andrade at the inaugural AEW Worlds End pay-per-view. Miro took time off after the match to recover from an injury suffered months earlier in September 2023. It was reported this past September that the former WWE Superstar had requested his release from All Elite Wrestling, but the latest word was that he is still under contract.
The former Rusev of WWE seems to be enjoying his time off. However, now the 38-year-old looks to be training for an in-ring return as his physique has improved from the apparent level he was at just a few months back. He took to Instagram today to share a photo from Pulse gym in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, which is Miro's hometown. There is no caption, but the message is clear:
Today's update at the gym comes after another recent update from the one-time TNT Champion. Miro was recently training with another Bulgarian brute - CCW Heavyweight Champion Meto:
"Pumping iron with the young lion Meto," Miro wrote with the photo below.
Miro was one of the planned names for a Meat Madness match at AEW Revolution earlier this year, but the bout was nixed due to various injuries to the competitors. Miro took a bit of a public shot at Tony Khan when addressing the match cancellation.
