MJF comments after winning AEW International Title on Dynamite 250

Maxwell Jacob Friedman has commented after his massive title win on the 250th episode of AEW Dynamite. The victory marks the beginning of MJF's first reign as the International Champion.

This week's episode of Dynamite opened with a bang as Will Ospreay defended his AEW International Title against MJF. The bout unfolded as a memorable back-and-forth affair as both champion and challenger brought their A-game.

Towards the end of the match, The Aerial Assassin contemplated delivering his devastating Tiger Driver 91 on his opponent. However, Ospreay relented, which would turn out to be his undoing as The Wolf of Wrestling used the opportunity afforded by his hesitation to shove the English star into the referee, incapacitating him.

MJF then took to his frequent recourse - his signature Dynamite Diamond Ring - and used it illegally to hit Ospreay with a knock-out blow, proceeding to cover him for the win with seconds left on the clock. The victory crowned Friedman the new AEW International Champion.

Following his win, The Salt of the Earth took to X/Twitter to send a message pertaining to his major accomplishment on Dynamite.

"Will Ospreay's title reign has been caught and compromised to a permanent end. America has a real champion now. Easy W. #ThankMeLater," wrote Friedman.

MJF may have to face PAC at AEW All In 2024

The July 10, 2024, episode of Dynamite featured a star-studded Four-Way match featuring Claudio Castagnoli, Kyle Fletcher, Tomohiro Ishii, and PAC. The 37-year-old emerged victorious in the bout by tapping out Fletcher with his signature submission hold, The Brutalizer.

PAC's win on Dynamite entitled him to a future shot at the International Championship. After the match, the Death Triangle member grabbed a microphone and addressed his recent shortcomings. He referenced his failed bids earlier this year at capturing the Continental Title, the Unified World Trios Titles, and the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Cup.

Nevertheless, PAC vowed not to let the opportunity to have his shining moment at Wembley Stadium slip away, suggesting that he possibly intends to cash in his shot at the International Championship at AEW All In 2024.

It remains to be seen whether a match between PAC and MJF will be made official for All In.
