MJF confirmed for massive project outside AEW amid absence
MJF hasn't been seen on AEW TV since his match against Daniel Garcia at All Out. He is now set to take part in a massive project outside the company.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman is one of the best heels in professional wrestling at the moment. He is able to get instant heat due to his actions both inside and outside the ring. Maxwell amplified his arrogance earlier this year when he ambushed Daniel Garcia brutally.
The Wolf of Wrestling then competed against Daniel Garcia at AEW All Out and picked up the win. However, Garcia got some much-needed revenge on The Devil and dropped him on his head. Since then, Friedman hasn't been seen on television.
According to Deadline, Maxwell Jacob Friedman has been cast in "Happy Gilmore 2." The movie is set to star Adam Sandler, Bad Bunny, and Travis Kelce. This is Friedman's third role in a movie after he played the role of Killer Croc in "Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part Two." He also played the role of Lance Von Erich in "The Iron Claw" but his scene was cut from the movie.
Freddie Prinze Jr. claims that MJF is the only one who can match CM Punk on the mic
CM Punk's promo game is on a whole other level. When he gets going, no one can touch him. However, the only person who has been able to hang in a promo battle against Punk is MJF when the two men went at it on the mic a couple of years ago.
Speaking on his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. stated that he believes that the only one capable of matching Punk's promo game is Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
"CM Punk's worst promo is a nine on a scale of one to ten. His medium promo is a ten out of ten. And when he is awesome, there is no promo that can really hang with him. He is in a rare air. And there is like one other guy who can do that and that's Max (MJF). He has done it multiple times."
It will be interesting to see if we will ever get an MJF vs. CM Punk promo battle again in the future.
