MJF drops a massive Hulk Hogan reference in a questionable tweet before his title match outside AEW

MJF is set to defend his American Title outside AEW soon. Ahead of the match, he dropped a questionable tweet referencing The Immortal Hulk Hogan.

MJF is one of the best homegrown stars in AEW history. His rise in this business has been astronomical. He is one of the best heels in the business and has an innate ability to draw massive amounts of heat on himself. This also makes him an entertaining watch for the fans.

After returning from months of absence from the ring, Friedman quickly won the AEW American Championship by beating Will Ospreay. Now, he is set to defend his title at RevPro Wrestling's Summer Sizzler 2024 show against Oku.

Ahead of this title match, Maxwell Jacob Friedman took to social media to call the British people neo nazis. He also referenced Hulk Hogan in his tweet when he called himself a "Real American." This was a moniker used to describe Hogan and was even part of his theme song.

"Tonight in the land of neo nazis roaming the street and very poorly seasoned food. I vanquish another red coat terrorist in the name of liberty and justice for all. Why? Because I am a real American."

Bill Apter opens up on MJF's issues with Britt Baker

A few weeks ago, Britt Baker reportedly got into a backstage argument with Maxwell Jacob Friedman after she was mouthing off about him. After an internal investigation, Baker was suspended for two weeks while Maxwell wasn't on the receiving end of any punishment.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, Bill Apter stated that Baker was likely suspended as part of an angle.

"From what I understand, it was a heated exchange between he and Britt Baker. She'll be at Wembley. (...) I think the sound of MJF possibly, I don't know this for sure, cursing out her brought attention from management. MJF, to them, I think is still the golden goose. So they probably said, do me a favor, just take a few weeks off till Wembley, it's a suspension, that's it. Or it's an angle coming down the line." [From 01:55 to 02:46]

Britt Baker will return at AEW All In to face Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship.
