MJF finally reacts to Bloodline member's shirt resembling his name from this week's WWE SmackDown
MJF has been on the minds of many fans this week, with some invoking his name in relation to a shirt worn by Tama Tonga on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown. The former AEW World Champion has now responded to the discussion.
On Friday's SmackDown, The Bloodline's Tama Tonga was seen wearing a shirt emblazoned with 'MFT,' an acronym he's been using since his WWE debut. However, this new shirt featured bold gothic letters and looked very similar to a shirt Maxwell Jacob Friedman has worn on AEW TV in the past.
Since the shirts used the same font and style, many fans mistook it for an MJF shirt at first, which sparked some humorous reactions online. Fans are still discussing the similarities on social media today, and Friedman himself has been tagged enough times to force a response.
The Wolf of Wrestling took to X/Twitter today and expressed his irritation at the flood of comparisons. He tweeted a short demand to fans, making it clear that he knew about Tama Tonga's shirt:
"Stop sending me photos of the shirt. We get it."
MJF reacted to this week's presidential debate
United States President Joe Biden and his opponent, Donald Trump, squared off on Thursday in the first presidential debate of the 2024 election season. Unfortunately, not many saw it as a win for either candidate.
Criticism and despair have poured in from both Democrats and Republicans, with neither candidate being seen in a good light following the televised debate. As one of the most divisive elections in history draws closer, AEW's MJF has taken to social media to claim that there's still hope.
Maxwell posted a picture of himself at a stylized presidential podium and indicated that even if the worst comes to pass in this election, fans can still count on him:
MJF's return to action has sparked excitement on AEW television, and seeds have even been laid for a future confrontation with current International Champion Will Ospreay. With Forbidden Door 2024 almost here and All In season on the horizon, only time will tell whether The Wolf of Wrestling makes his way back to the top of the company.
