MJF issues a scary threat to top AEW star

Former AEW World Champion MJF is planning to unleash hell on a major AEW star. The star in question is none other than Daniel Garcia.

The former ROH Pure Champion made his shocking return to AEW at All In during the International Championship match between MJF and Will Ospreay. Garcia took his revenge and cost The Wolf of Wrestling his title against The Aerial Assassin. Both men are set to face off at All Out in Chicago on September 7.

On his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, MJF sent a message to Daniel Garcia and threatened to break his neck during their match at All Out.

"It’s as simple as this. Ima break your neck, boy."

Dutch Mantell believes MJF works better as a babyface in AEW

MJF gained popularity for his incredible heel character in All Elite Wrestling. However, The Salt of the Earth briefly turned babyface during his AEW World Title run last year.

Friedman returned to the company at Double or Nothing 2024 and had a rivalry with Rush. However, MJF showed his true colors and turned heel after launching a brutal attack on Daniel Garcia on the July 3rd episode of Dynamite.

On his Storytime with Dutch Mantell podcast, the former WWE manager explained why MJF works better as a babyface in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Mantell claimed that Friedman could easily become a fan favorite and an underdog when going against a bigger wrestler.

"Now, I think the money with MJF is him being a babyface. I really do. And you get a fire breathing heel on top of him and do something to him and let him bring the people that kind of like him because face it, if he's 5'8, 5'9 or whatever he is, he's the automatic underdog. So when he goes up against the bigger guy, if the people don't know who the the heel or the babyface is to start off with, I think they would choose if he just stood there and didn't aggravate the crowd, they would pick him as the babyface."

MJF is set to clash against Daniel Garcia at All Out on September 7th. It will be interesting to see how the company books the outcome of the match as both stars can't really afford a loss.
