MJF open to facing former WWE star in a first-time-ever match outside AEW
MJF has revealed that he is open to facing a former WWE star in a first-time-ever match outside AEW. If this happens, it will be a spectacle for the fans.
The star is none other than Mistico, who wrestled in WWE from 2011 to 2014 under the name Sin Cara. He currently wrestles for CMLL and is the NWA World Historic Middleweight Champion.
Maxwell will put his AEW American Championship on the line against Templario in his CMLL debut. He was asked who he would like to face at the press conference. He took the name of Mistico and said:
“Mistico. Outside of that, money talks. You want to see MJF here again, it either has to be the matchup of a lifetime or mucho dinero. I got better stuff to do, like count my money on Long Island, New York," MJF said. [H/T Fightful]
This match could easily take place as Mistico sometimes shows up in AEW. He was last seen on Rampage in February.
MJF receives hilarious reply from Ricky Starks under his CMLL post
The AEW American Champion’s name has been in the news a lot today as it was reported that he was involved in a locker room spat with Britt Baker.
A lot of people have been talking about it, and Ricky Starks has now chimed in. The American Champion took to Twitter to discuss his CMLL debut and said that the entire wrestling world was talking about it.
Ricky Starks interjected and said the reason people are talking about him has nothing to do with his CMLL debut. In a now-deleted post, the former FTW Champion wrote:
“I think they talking about you and Britt tbh.”
It was a hilarious way to comment on the current situation that Maxwell finds himself in.
