MJF required an oxygen mask after his match on AEW Dynamite
MJF has won one of his biggest matches this year, but it did not come without some lasting effects. After the fight, he needed to be given an oxygen mask. This was during his match against Will Ospreay for the International Championship.
Earlier tonight, Friedman and Ospreay went to war in a match that lasted for 59 minutes. The former ultimately blindsided his opponent with the Dynamite Diamond Ring and pinned him just before the time-limit count to become the new International champion.
Post-match, while the medical teams were checking both men, MJF was given an oxygen mask to help him recuperate. This looked all too similar to the scene during his last marathon match.
Last year, MJF defended his AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson in a 60-minute Iron Man match. At one point, he had to be given oxygen as he was not conditioned for these lengthy bouts, unlike the American Dragon. Later, he used the oxygen tank to his advantage to steal a win.
Not only did the Wolf of Wrestling survive a match of this length against arguably one of the most athletic men on the roster, but he pulled off a shocker by capturing Ospreay's title.
