MJF says he would never wrestle top AEW star again

AEW has booked MJF as a top star since the company launched. He has wrestled several notable names in AEW, including CM Punk, Jon Moxley, Samoa Joe, Chris Jericho, and Kenny Omega. The Salt of the Earth recently made surprising comments about one rematch he's not interested in.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman kicked off last week's Dynamite 250 with a near-one-hour win over Will Ospreay to become the new International Champion. Their first-ever match included one controversial moment but also received rave reviews online. All Elite Wrestling has not announced a rematch for The Aerial Assassin as of this writing.

The Salt Of The Earth is not interested in a rematch with the UK star. MJF recently appeared on The Wrestling Classic and was asked if he wants to beat The Commonwealth Kingpin on his home turf at All In next month. The AEW Original dismissed the idea and reiterated his championship goals.

"Why would I wrestle a guy I beat so handily? That doesn't even make any sense. I literally beat him in record time. I mean... yeah, if somebody tries to pitch that to me... there’s no reality that match is happening again. I beat him, I now have this title. I’m gonna make this title mean more than any title that exists in all of professional wrestling, and when I'm done doing that I intend on becoming a double champion," MJF said. [From 08:23 to 08:48]

MJF declared he would defeat the World Champion coming out of All In. He pointed to how he's defeated current champion Swerve Strickland in the Indies, and Bryan Danielson in their 2023 Iron Man match.
