MJF seemingly mocks AEW announcing "Big Boom" AJ's Full Gear match
AEW is set to present its sixth annual Full Gear pay-per-view in less than one month. A celebrity debut was the first confirmed for the event, as AJ Befumo from The Costco Guys is set to step inside the All Elite squared circle. The announcement has received mixed feedback, and now MJF has chimed in.
New Jersey's "Big BOOM" AJ of The Costco Guys will be accompanied to the ring by his 11-year-old son, Big Justice, as he locks up with QT Marshall in front of a hometown crowd at Full Gear. The self-proclaimed God's Gift To Professional Wrestling has not wrestled AEW TV matches since his deal was re-structured, but the Vice President of Show & Creative Coordination has worked a few dark matches, and his upcoming bout will air on the Full Gear Zero Hour pre-show.
The Wolf of Wrestling is set to return to the ring at Full Gear against Adam Cole or Roderick Strong. Maxwell Jacob Friedman took to X/Twitter today to seemingly express his honest thoughts on AJ vs. QT. The feeling among fans is that Long Island's one-time World Champion is not thrilled with his New Jersey neighbor.
"This means something to me, man," MJF wrote with the graphic below.
QT's last AEW TV match was a win over Gravity on the Fyter Fest Rampage in August 2023. He was defeated by Elijah Drago in a Blood & Guts dark match this past July.
AJ worked in the indie scene from at least 1999 - 2005, with several appearances since 2021. Befumo was described as a bit of a local standout, billed as The Powerchild, Tundra, and Eric Justice.
Updated lineup of AEW Full Gear
All Elite Wrestling is just twenty-six days away from its sixth annual Full Gear pay-per-view. The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, will host the big event, as it did in 2022.
AEW has confirmed two matches for Full Gear so far, with one in the works. Below is the current lineup:
- Zero Hour Pre-show: QT Marshall vs. "Big BOOM" AJ with Big Justice of The Costco Guys
- Jay White vs. Adam Page
- MJF vs. Roderick Strong or Adam Cole
MJF's opponent will be decided after Strong or Cole wins three matches. Friedman has ruled that the first to win three will earn the right to be his opponent at Full Gear.
