MJF sends a one-word message after disrespecting major WWE legend
MJF recently disrespected a major WWE legend. He has now sent a one-word message to him.
MJF is known for playing an arrogant character, which is what makes him such a good heel. His arrogance was on full display after his match against Mistico was announced for the upcoming Grand Slam Mexico event. He responded by listing several wrestlers he has beaten in the past and also detailed all his accomplishments. However, he disrespected Dustin Rhodes by misspelling his name. Hence, the WWE legend hit back at Maxwell, demanding he spell his name correctly.
However, Maxwell Jacob Friedman denied Dustin Rhodes' demand with a one-word response.
"NEVER"

MJF disrespected Mistico at AEW Summer Blockbuster 2025
At Summer Blockbuster, Mistico defeated Blake Christian in a quick one-on-one match. After the bout, The Hurt Syndicate interrupted the luchador, and MJF challenged him to a clash at AEW Grand Slam Mexico.
When Mistico clapped back at MJF with some choice words of his own and accepted the challenge, the former AEW World Champion wasn't going to keep quiet and took this opportunity to call Mistico a "sloppy Sin Cara."
“I grew up watching you on my TV. To me, you’re still just sloppy Sin Cara.” [H/T Twitter/Drainmaker]
This comment was a jab at Mistico's time in WWE, where he competed as Sin Cara. Although there was a lot of hype around his arrival in the Stamford-based promotion, Mistico's botches during his entrances and matches made him stand out in a negative way. After a disappointing run in the sports entertainment juggernaut, Mistico left the company in 2014, and another wrestler continued to portray the Sin Cara character.
MJF's comments from last week must have fired up Mistico, and it will be interesting to see how he approaches this match against The Salt of the Earth at Grand Slam Mexico.
