MJF sends a special message to current WWE champion amid AEW absence
AEW star MJF is synonymous with controversy. Earlier this year, the 28-year-old won the AEW International Championship and renamed it to AEW American Championship. Unfortunately, this title run only lasted for a few days as he lost the gold to the previous champion Will Ospreay at All In.
Friedman has not appeared on AEW programming since All Out 2024. In that pay-per-view, he locked horns with bitter rival Daniel Garcia in a 24-minute match and managed to defeat him (by using illegal tactics). However, The Dragon Slayer got the last laugh. The two men brawled after their showdown, which ended with Garcia delivering a devastating piledriver from the middle rope to The Wolf of Wrestling.
It is not known when the former AEW World Champion will return to TV programming. However, he recently revealed that he has signed a new contract with the company and is currently filming a movie. He also wished his friend/current NXT Champion "All Ego" Ethan Page on his birthday, by sharing a picture on X (formerly Twitter).
Ethan Page was signed to AEW from 2021 to 2024. Even though he didn't win any titles in the Jacksonville-based company, he was entertaining and possessed the ability to gain the attention of the fans.
MJF has sent a warning to Shane McMahon
Former WWE star Shane McMahon is heavily rumored to join AEW soon. Interestingly, MJF has already issued a warning to the WWE World Cup winner. He said that if McMahon ever intended to have a promo battle or step in the ring with him, it would be bad for the latter's mental health.
"I think it would be bad for Shane McMahon’s mental health to get in a ring with me on a microphone or bell to bell." said Friedman. [H/T: Inside the Ropes]
All Elite Wrestling's already stacked roster will only get better if Shane McMahon joins. Furthermore, a rivalry between McMahon and MJF would be a treat for fans across the globe.
