MJF will either be his "own worst enemy" or the driver of AEW's success, says Jeff JarrettĀ (Exclusive)
AEW veteran Jeff Jarrett recently shared his thoughts on the future of MJF in professional wrestling. The Wolf of Wrestling recently signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling.
MJF made his surprising return to All Elite Wrestling at the Double or Nothing Pay-Per-View. Friedman's first feud was surprisingly revealed to be with RUSH instead of Adam Cole, who was taken out by him at the Double or Nothing PPV. The former AEW World Champion is set to take on RUSH in his first match since December at the Forbidden Door PPV on June 30th.
In a recent Sportskeeda Exclusive interview with Bill Apter, Double J stated that the sky is the limit for MJF and noted how the 28-year-old has accomplished a lot in professional wrestling in a short time.
"He's gonna be either his own worst enemy or he's gonna be truly the driver for the success, and I truly believe, not just for him, but for anybody, it's gonna find out how bad does he really want. What's gonna make MJF tick and motivate, not just this year, but the next year and the next year... I think the sky is the limit. He's accomplished an awful lot in this industry in a relatively short period of time." [4:20-4:51]
AEW star Kyle Fletcher wants to punch MJF in the face
MJF recently returned to AEW and revealed that he had re-signed with the promotion. In a recent interview with Maggie & Perloff, Kyle Fletcher was asked about Friedman's decision to stay with All Elite Wrestling. The member of the Don Callis Family praised MJF for being one of the biggest stars in wrestling. However, he also threw shade at The Salt of the Earth.
"So, I think it's a great thing for the company. MJF is one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling, so the fact that he's here for however long it is, he says permanently, I think it can only be good things for the company. And I can't wait to punch him in the face personally." [0:10-0:22]
Maxwell Jacob Friedman is set to take on RUSH at the Forbidden Door PPV. MJF has also put AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland on notice. It will be interesting to see if Friedman chases the AEW World Title next.
