Multi-time champion suspected to be involved in former WWE star's attack

Earlier tonight, a top star was in search of an assailant running amok in the locker room after a former WWE veteran was attacked last week. It seems that one of the suspects has been hinted at tonight. This would be Christian Cage.

Last week, it was revealed that Taz was jumped at the parking lot just before AEW Dynamite, and this was the reason for him to take a leave from the show. Reports later confirmed he needed to get surgery for a knee injury he reportedly sustained on-screen. His son HOOK has since been on a tear and has been searching for the mystery attacker.

This week, Hook's ventures to find this person continued, and he happened to run into Christian Cage backstage.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion took the chance to talk to Hook, as he sympathized with him as he had been dealing with Killswitch being sidelined due to a serious medical issue. Christian then mentioned how he sympathized with the loss of a father.

The former TNT Champion has always had a habit of bringing up his rivals' fathers during their feuds, and it seems that he has been hinting at his involvement with Taz being taken out.

This could be his tactic of recruiting HOOK to his faction, as he may look to provide a fatherly presence to the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil in Taz's absence.
