Multi-time WWE champion breaks silence after AEW debut
A former WWE star shared an interesting message on social media after making his surprising AEW debut. The star being discussed is Shelton Benjamin. Ahead of Dynamite, reports claimed that he, MVP, and Bobby Lashley have signed with the company.
The former Intercontinental Champion was a very underrated star in WWE. He wrestled rarely during his second run in the company. After sitting on the bench for most of his stint, he joined the Hurt Business, which garnered huge attention during the pandemic era. Unfortunately, once the stable disbanded, he was inactive and was released in 2023.
Last week, Hurt Business' manager MVP made his shocking debut on Dynamite: Grand Slam. He aimed to take Swerve Strickland under his wings and confronted Prince Nana. However, the latter rejected the offer. On the fifth anniversary of Dynamite this Wednesday, Montel was slated to make a massive announcement on the show. He introduced Shelton Benjamin as his business partner.
Following the blockbuster debut, the Intercontinental Champion sent a six-word message on Twitter/X and confirmed his AEW signing.
"It’s official Shelton Benjamin is @AEW," Benjamin wrote.
It will be interesting to see if Bobby Lashley is also making his way to the Jacksonville-based promotion. The trio will reportedly be known as the Hurt Syndicate.
