MVP breaks silence after Bobby Lashley's vicious attack on former WWE champion

MVP addressed Bobby Lashley and the rest of The Hurt Syndicate's attack on a former WWE champion earlier this week. The star in question, Swerve Strickland, is scheduled to take on The All Mighty later this month.

MVP was shown to appreciate Komander's performance against Rocky Romero backstage on the November 15, 2024, edition of AEW Rampage. Later on the show, The Franchise Playa would be asked if he has been scouting prospects, presumably for The Hurt Syndicate, to which he responded in the affirmative.

The former WWE Superstar observed that the All Elite roster was full of promising and talented wrestlers, stating that while some could benefit from increased motivation or improved management, others needed harsh lessons to be taught to them.

On that note, MVP brought up Swerve Strickland, rebuking the former AEW World Champion for arrogantly believing that he could take on The Hurt Syndicate all by himself.

"Take Swerve Strickland for example. He's got so much to learn, but he won't listen. That is arrogance, and it's his arrogance that the people love about him. But, it's also his greatest weakness. Swerve Strickland thinks that one man can beat three. That's arrogance. Swerve Strickland calls himself the most dangerous man in AEW. With Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.. that is arrogance. And arrogance, much like pride, goeth before the fall," MVP said.

The 51-year-old also revealed that he would be watching Ricochet's main event bout against Dante Martin, and voiced his excitement over Shelton Benjamin's upcoming bout against Komander on AEW Collision this Saturday.

Swerve Strickland is set to face Bobby Lashley at AEW Full Gear 2024. It remains to be seen if the former NXT North American Champion will be able to defeat The All Mighty at the event.
