MVP issues major clarification about his AEW contract after shocking debut at Grand Slam 2024

MVP just made his shocking debut at Grand Slam 2024. Following this, rumors surfaced about his contract with the company and he has provided some clarification.

MVP's second run in WWE started on the right note as he formed a successful faction with Bobby Lashley called 'The Hurt Business.' However, after the disbandment of the group, his career took a downturn. He managed Omos for a bit but nothing substantial came off it and he eventually left the company.

Following his departure from the Stamford-based promotion, there were many questions about his future. The former WWE star answered those when he showed up at Grand Slam and interrupted Prince Nana's segment by offering to be Swerve Strickland's manager. Following this appearance, there were reports that the former United States Champion had signed a deal with AEW a month before his debut.

However, the former United States Champion has now taken to his X (fka Twitter) account to clarify that these reports were untrue.

"Someone told me they read that I signed my contract a month ago. That is incorrect. Anyway, have the day you deserve," he wrote.
