MVP reunites with legendary duo he last met in WWE - "Two of my most bitter rivals"
Earlier this year MVP signed with AEW. He is a member and manager of The Hurt Syndicate faction. Apart from him, the group consists of former Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin and former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
Montel Vontavious Porter is best known for his WWE run. He won the United States Championship twice and the Tag Team Championship once with Matt Hardy. He reportedly has a close relationship with The Hardys. The 51-year-old recently reunited with the legendary tag team. Furthermore, Matt Hardy and MVP shared pictures of their meeting on their social media handles.
In this caption of his post, The Franchise Playa called Jeff and Matt Hardy his truest friends and bitter rivals:
"The Hardys! Two of my absolute truest friends. And, two of my most bitter rivals! They are absolute LEGENDS!!! It was great seeing them tonight at @4thrope Heelz have Eyes 4!!!! I'm STILL the Captain!"
Under MVP's management, The Hurt Syndicate has become one of the most feared factions in All Elite Wrestling. Interestingly, over the past few weeks, the company has been hinting at expanding the group. Its fourth member could be former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet.
MVP revealed the qualities needed to join The Hurt Syndicate
In a recent interview with Renee Paquette, THS manager Montel Vontavious Porter revealed that to join his faction, a wrestler has to be coachable and have an excellent fashion sense.
"Well number one is coachability. They have to be coachable. Number two, they have to have swag, swagger, a sense of style and fashion because we are hashtag fashionably violent ... you can't have a nice pair of jeans. But I think the number one thing is coachability, athletic ability, and the desire to hurt people for money," said Porter. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
When The Hurt Syndicate was under the Stamford-based promotion's banner, they had a fourth member in Cedric Alexander.
