MVP teases stepping inside the ring for the first time in two years to face 45-year-old AEW star
MVP recently made his AEW debut. He has already teased stepping back into the ring for a match for the first time since July 2022. MVP's last in-ring outing came on the July 18, 2022, edition of RAW.
During AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, MVP made his surprising debut by interrupting Prince Nana's segment. During their back and forth, he offered his managerial services to Swerve Strickland. This kicked off a feud between both men, which also spilled online.
Following Montel Vontavious Porter's debut, Shelton Benjamin debuted during the fifth-anniversary special episode of AEW Dynamite. This prompted a fan to suggest that the former United States Champion should get Benjamin to fight Prince Nana since the 50-year-old was not willing to do it himself.
The former WWE star reminded the fan about his accolades inside and outside the ring, teasing an in-ring appearance against the 45-year-old.
"This guy must be new here. Someone teach this clown about my decorated championship history both in AND [sic] out of the ring," he wrote.

Latest update on MVP's relationship with Chris Jericho following their altercation in 2020
Chris Jericho is a wrestling legend who isn't afraid to stand up to anyone. Hence, it should come as no surprise that he once got into a physical altercation with Montel Vontavious Porter during The Jericho Cruise in 2020. They even had a confrontation at a hotel in Houston.
Hence, with both men now part of the AEW roster, there was plenty of speculation as to how their relationship would be after all these years. However, Fightful Select recently reported that the former United States Champion went up to Jericho's locker room on his first night in the company, and both men hashed out their issues. The two men were even seen interacting during a recent episode of Dynamite.
It will be interesting to see what plans the Tony Khan-led creative team has in store for MVP moving forward.
