Nearly 300 pound AEW star suffers unfortunate loss

A heavyweight AEW star was featured in hard-hitting action this week on Dynamite. The talent in question - Brody King - unfortunately suffered a huge loss on the episode to another top name.

The final stages of this year's Continental Classic have been playing out over the past couple of weeks on AEW programming. Despite being pegged as a potential winner of the tournament early on, Will Ospreay suffered multiple setbacks with consecutive losses to Darby Allin and Ricochet last week. On the other hand, Big Bad Brody King bounced back from his defeat at the hands of The One and Only (and from his loss to Claudio Castagnoli before that) with a win over Komander on Rampage: Holiday Bash.

The Aerial Assassin took on House of Black's 285-pound powerhouse in C2 Gold League action at the Hammerstein Ballroom on AEW Dynamite on 34th Street. The match offered a unique clash of styles, as Brody utilized his unbelievable strength and speed to ground and counter Ospreay's high-flying offense. However, the Englishman persisted and brought the fight to King, drawing from his bag of tricks and even hitting him with a Styles Clash.

The Commonwealth Kingpin finally emerged victorious against King after planting him with a Stormbreaker. He earned three more points in the process, bringing his total to nine.

However, with only six points to his name, Brody's Continental Classic journey this year could be over.
