New AEW contracts are near to what 'many long-time WWE veterans' make - Reports

AEW star Swerve Strickland has reportedly signed a new contract with the company. According to Fighful Select, this new agreement is one of the most lucrative deals in the industry, and this has led to a substantial amount of chatter in the wrestling world.

Reports suggest that the Jacksonville-based company is also working on a new contract for Daniel Garcia. WWE was interested in hiring the star, however, it appears that the 25-year-old will continue working with All Elite Wrestling. While not much is known about Garcia's contract, Strickland's new deal will get him a pretty penny.

According to the report by Fightful Select, Strickland will almost make the same money as top All Elite names such as Kazuchika Okada and Mercedes Moné. Furthermore, these deals are close to what long-time WWE veterans make in the Stamford-based company.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE is upset about these new deals because they think that All Elite Wrestling is overpaying their talents and it is "bad for the sport."

Daniel Garcia and MJF to lock horns at AEW All Out 2024

Daniel Garcia made his shocking return at All In. He distracted MJF which led to him losing the AEW International Championship to Will Ospreay. In the latest episode of Dynamite, the two young stars brawled. Interestingly, the segment ended with Garcia challenging MJF to a match at All Out.

"You know what’s bad? Having your mother watch you get stretchered out, like you did to me. Max, ruining your life is my fetish. I talked to Tony Khan. And right down the road it’ll be MJF against Daniel Garcia at All Out!." said Garcia. [H/T: AEW's official website]

There is not too much time left for All Out, so it remains to be seen how much more intense the rivalry between Friedman and Garcia will get.
