New AEW hire officially revealed
AEW has added another talent to its roster. However, this time it's not an in-ring performer but a commentator. The company's commentary team currently consists of big names like Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone, who enhance fans' viewing experience worldwide.
The Spanish-language broadcast team has secured another talented commentator Alvaro Riojas. He has been contributing to the Spanish broadcast team as their color commentator for a while. However, only now has he been formalized as a member of the Tony Khan-led promotion.
Riojas recently took to social media to announce his signing with the company and mentioned how this had been his longtime dream. You can view the English translation of his tweet below:
“Friends! I have been officially added to the AEW page! The little boy who dreamed that one day he would be part of the world of professional wrestling is today on a higher floor.”
The Spanish broadcast team is currently stacked, with a top name like Thunder Rosa in their ranks. The former women's world champion has been nursing an injury for a few months. Meanwhile, she has continued to be an integral part of the Spanish commentary team.
The former AEW Women's World Champion could miss more time due to injury
At this point, it is unclear when Thunder Rosa will make her in-ring return. The former champion last competed in a six-woman tag team match on the August 10, 2022, episode of Dark: Elevation.
Rosa has not undergone surgery for her back injury, which is why the superstar could be absent from the promotion for an extended period.
Rosa seems to be making the most of her time away from the ring as she regularly posts updates about her vlogs and music career. We at Sportskeeda wish her a speedy recovery.
