Nic Nemeth (aka Dolph Ziggler) teases defending TNA World Title against former AEW World Champion

Current TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, dropped a major tease regarding defending his title against a former AEW World Champion on social media. That would be Kenny Omega.

The Cleaner has been out of action for the past several months due to a medical condition called 'Diverticulitis.' Fans have been anticipating Kenny's return for a while now.

Nic Nemeth was released from WWE last year and is currently a part of TNA Wrestling. Nemeth recently became the TNA World Champion after defeating Moose, Joe Hendry, Frankie Kazarian, Josh Alexander, and Steve Maclin in a Six-way elimination match at the 2024 Slammiversary Pay-Per-View.

TNA Wrestling's official X/Twitter handle recently posted a question for fans, asking who they want to see Nemeth defend his World Championship against. Interestingly, Nic himself reacted to the post with a GIF of the former AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega, doing his signature pose to possibly imply that he wants to defend the title against The Cleaner.

Check out Nic's tweet below:

Fans would be delighted if they get to witness a match between Nemeth and Omega somewhere down the line.

Nic Nemeth had talks with AEW President Tony Khan

A few months ago, Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, disclosed that he had talks with AEW President Tony Khan after his WWE release. While speaking on the Eyes Up Here podcast, Nemeth revealed the following:

"I talked to Tony a long time ago and he was like, 'Just so you know, you can do anything you want while you work here.' (...) He wants everyone to have a good time and doing the best possible thing. That’s awesome, and a lot of people did think I was going to AEW, and I love a bunch of people in AEW, I love AEW, Tony’s freaking great. I was just weighing my options and figuring out, I didn’t have a plan."

Nic Nemeth remains the top guy in TNA Wrestling. Only time will tell if he will ever jump ship to AEW.
