Nigel McGuinness makes a big promise ahead of dream match against Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam

AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness will lock horns at the highly anticipated upcoming TV special, Grand Slam 2024. This will be the commentator's first singles match in more than a decade, and fans across the globe can't wait for September 25 to arrive.

Earlier this month, the 48-year-old challenged Bryan Danielson to a match. Even though it was made official, the American Dragon has not responded to him yet. The former WWE Champion is reportedly not a 100% fit because he was on the receiving end of a vicious attack by Jon Moxley at All Out. During the latest episode of Collision, McGuinness voiced his frustration with Danielson because the latter is giving him the silent treatment.

A few hours ago, McGuinness shared a video on X/Twitter, when he admitted that he was not on his best behavior on Collision. Interestingly, he added that if his Grand Slam opponent did show up, he is going to face the best version of the former ROH World Champion.

"We saw Collision last night. You would have seen, I got a little emotional. The anger getting the better of me. Got a little screamy. But from the time since, I've had the chance to calm down and refocus. While everything I said was true, at least I belive it, I won't let anger get the better off me again. Bryan if you show up, you will get the very best version of me, without any excuses. And I hope you'll have none too. Balls in your court Bryan," said McGuinness.

AEW Grand Slam 2024 match card (for Dynamite)

Dynamite: Grand Slam looks set to be an enticing show with some great matches lined up. Several titles will be on the line as Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher will challenge for the tag team championship.
