Nikki Bella has six-word response to AEW star paying tribute to her on Collision
Nikki Bella has a six-word response to an AEW star's homage to her on the latest episode of Collision.
Anna Jay faced Serena Deeb on the May 18, 2024, episode of Collision, which aired from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The Professor secured the win via submission just over a week before her Double or Nothing 2024 title match against AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm.
The ring gear Jay wore for her bout against Deeb prompted several fans to speculate whether she was paying homage to former WWE Superstar Nikki Bella. The Queen Slayer took to social media to confirm that the Hall of Famer inspired her outfit.
Now, Bella has responded to Anna Jay's tribute to her on Collision, sharing a collage of herself and the 25-year-old AEW star on her Instagram story with a message of support for the latter in the caption.
"Loooove @annajay___!! Looking SO good & sexy!! [heart-eyes emoji][fire emoji][lipstick-mark emoji][heart emoji][teary-eyed smile emoji]," Bella wrote in her story.

Konnan believes ex-WWE star Nikki Bella would not be a needle-mover in AEW
Speaking on the Nikki and Brie Show earlier this year, Bella revealed that watching Mercedes Mone's debut and first promo in AEW nearly drove her to call Tony Khan to discuss a run in the Jacksonville-based promotion. The head honcho of All Elite Wrestling, in turn, affirmed that he was more than willing to work with the 40-year-old star should she join his company.
Although Nikki would be a huge signing for All Elite Wrestling, according to Konnan, her arrival would do little to boost the promotion's viewership figures, as the following she has built up through her work in WWE may not necessarily bring more eyes to AEW.
“I think that maybe Tony [Khan] thinks that all right the diva show whatever it was called remember?…..They have followers, Mone has followers, this guy has….if we can get all their followers to come but that’s not happening, you know, I don’t know if they’re seeing the show and going what is this. But yeah, it’s not happening, you know, and so he’s going to bring Nikki [Bella] in another name that people recognize who will probably mean nothing in a month or less.”
It remains to be seen whether Bella will follow in the footsteps of her former WWE colleagues (such as Saraya, Ruby Soho, Women's World Champion Toni Storm, and Mercedes Mone) and ink a deal with All Elite Wrestling.
