“Nobody wasn’t getting suspended or disciplined,” says WWE legend on his AEW run

A WWE Hall of Famer made a shocking revelation about AEW after departing the promotion recently. The star being discussed is Mark Henry, who was with AEW from 2021 to 2024.

The World's Strongest Man is known for his massive stature in WWE. The powerhouse star wrestled in several blockbuster matches for 25 years in the global sports entertainment juggernaut. After working as a pro wrestler for plenty of years, he decided to gain some experience backstage in the same business.

In May 2021, Mark Henry became All Elite after exiting WWE in the same year. He worked in the Jacksonville-based promotion as a coach and commentator. After working at AEW for three years, he departed the company in May 2024. Recently, he was seen in an episode of WWE RAW in August.

While speaking on the Huge Pop!, the Hall of Famer claimed that no one in AEW was getting punished for their actions while he was an executive in the promotion.

“I was working for those high fives from guys and girls coming back. And then there’s some bad apples, and the bad apples have to be disciplined. Oh, they’re disciplining people now. But nobody wasn’t getting suspended or disciplined when I was there. I don’t remember [that]," he said. [H/T - PWMania]

Mark Henry revealed he took to pay cut to join AEW

The World's Strongest Man worked in the Tony Khan-based promotion for three years and has made some unpleasant comments about the company since exiting it.

While speaking on Huge Pop!, Mark Henry revealed that he took a pay cut while working in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

"I took a pay cut to go work at AEW. Don’t get it twisted. I went there because I wanted to get experience being an executive and I wanted to help that company flourish and help those people that were over there be better than they were and you ask the talent, 'Did Mark Henry try to help you? Hell, yes. All the time,'" Henry said.

It remains to be seen where his next destination could be as he tries to extend his experience backstage in the industry.
