"One night pop at ‘Mania" - Veteran addresses whether a potential WWE return is on the cards for The Hardy Boyz

A veteran mentioned how he wasn't a fan of the idea of The Hardy Boyz returning to WWE's main roster. He believed that they could push for one-off appearances instead. This would be Matt Morgan.

Matt and Jeff Hardy are known as one of the greatest WWE tag teams of all time. They have also made a name for themselves outside the company, competing for both AEW and TNA. Although they are currently affiliated with TNA, there have been hints of a return to WWE, as they reportedly met with some of the promotion's officials a few days ago.

On the latest edition of Gigantic Pop, Matt Morgan was asked by his co-host Raj Giri regarding a potential return of the Hardy Boyz to WWE. He felt that they could only make a surprise appearance at WrestleMania as long as they did not take the spotlight from other deserving stars.

Morgan felt they'd be a better fit in NXT, where they could help uplift and develop the younger talent on the brand.

"One night pop at 'Mania or something like that. 'Mania wouldn't want them taking a spot from somebody else just because they've done so many. I don't know it's just like I can see NXT, maybe helping out the younger guys in the tag team division or whatever. But yeah no." [52:27-52:50]

Matt Hardy has also teased The Hardy Boyz returning to WWE

Two weeks ago, Matt Hardy made a bold claim on X/Twitter that once his brother is fully cleared for action, they'd go after the TNA Tag Team titles once more. However, a certain WWE Superstar has given him other ideas.

NXT star Nathan Frazer replied to his tweet, reminding him that those were not the only tag team titles in the industry. Hardy then replied with a GIF of the Hardy Boyz' shocking return at WrestleMania 33, where they won the RAW Tag Team titles.

With TNA and WWE closely working together and The Hardy Boyz still being free agents, they could return to the Stamford-based promotion. What remains to be seen is the nature of their returns and on which brand they'll compete for moving forward.
