Penta El Zero Miedo makes big revelation about CM Punk’s demeanor 2 years after their AEW match
Penta El Zero Miedo recently made a big revelation about CM Punk's demeanor two years after their match in AEW. This will undoubtedly shock a lot of fans.
The two men competed against each other on the April 13, 2022, episode of AEW Dynamite. The match was a closely fought contest with Punk coming out on top. However, that left a lasting impression on Penta.
The 39-year-old star has now shared his thoughts on the match and how he wanted to prove to fans that he was on par with the Second City Saint. Penta was speaking with Lalo Elizarraras on his YouTube channel when he said:
"There is always a level of discomfort to be the best as a wrestler. Remember my match with CM Punk? I tried to get a good match and Punk was very nice, but my main concern in that match was to prove the world that I can compete on par with Punk competitively and in popularity in the arena, specially with someone maybe was earning 50 times more than I was because of everything he had done in WWE, the indies and everything he had done in the past. He is a smart man in the business and knows every detail known, and my goal with that match against him was to prove my popularity was on par with his and I succeeded.” [H/T Fightful]
What the future has in store for the former AEW World Tag Team Champion remains to be seen.
WWE Superstar CM Punk made Jim Cornette nervous with his recent entrance
CM Punk made his grand entrance on WWE SmackDown in his hometown of Chicago after Clash at the Castle 2024. He was, however, attacked by Drew McIntyre who returned the favor to the former for what the Second City Saint did to The Scottish Warrior at the Clash at the Castle 2024 Premium Live Event in Glasgow.
Punk got carried away during the entrance and could not contain himself as he was greeted with the cheers of a majority of people in Chicago. During the entrance, he was seen treading on the railing of the barricades, and that made Jim Cornette nervous.
The 62-year-old veteran was speaking on his Jim Cornette Experience podcast when he said:
"Here comes CM Punk, the big entrance; he jogged around the ring a couple times. The hugs, the handshakes. He made me a little nervous when he was climbing around on the rail. I watch your feet, and they're chanting; they're screaming and blah blah blah. I think everybody knows that things worked out for the best."
It will be interesting to see what will happen next between Punk and Drew in their heated feud.
