[Photo] Top RAW Superstar spotted with Chris Jericho ahead of AEW Dynamite
A top Monday Night RAW star has been spotted with Chris Jericho ahead of the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite. The talent in question is Otis, of The Alpha Academy.
The former RAW Tag Team Champion recently severed ties with Chad Gable after enduring weeks of mistreatment meted out by the latter to him and his team-mates, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri. Jericho, on the other hand, has his hands full with the trio of Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and HOOK challenging The Learning Tree and his allies, Big Bill and Bryan Keith, to a match at Forbidden Door 2024.
Ahead of the June 26, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho shared a photograph of himself with Otis on Instagram. The picture, evidently taken in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, shows both men sitting at a table and sharing a drink together.
"Just two brothers brothering..... @otis_wwe," wrote Jericho in the caption.

Kevin Kelly commented on Chris Jericho's latest gimmick in AEW
After winning the FTW Championship from HOOK at AEW Dynasty 2024, Chris Jericho repackaged his character and developed the gimmick of The Learning Tree, a disingenuous heel claiming to pass on his vast knowledge of the industry to up-and-coming stars. He has also recruited Big Bill, and more recently Bryan Keith, as his followers.
Former All Elite Wrestling commentator Kevin Kelly shared his two cents on Chris Jericho's latest gimmick while appearing on Eric Bischoff's Wise Choices podcast. Kelly praised Jericho's ability to create intriguing stories with new elements consistently, and suggested that the character of The Learning Tree was meant to reflect a specific perspective of The Ocho's current position in his career. He argued further that watching the character from such a point-of-view would allow audiences to relate to it better, and perhaps influence fan reception of the gimmick.
"You can never discount Chris Jericho's ability to get new things over. It's like he always wants to challenge himself and do different things. It is where he sees himself at this time in his career, so let's look at it from that point of view. And I think that will help the audience embrace it. It is a little 'Inside Baseball' and I think that might be where some people miss out," Kevin Kelly said. [H/T - WrestlingInc.]
It remains to be seen whether Jericho and his stable-mates will wrestle at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 on July 30.
