Popular AEW star "entertaining the possibility" of leaving for WWE - Reports
A top AEW star is reportedly "entertaining the possibility" of leaving the Jacksonville-based promotion for WWE. This star in question was recently attacked by MJF.
Daniel Garcia is one of the most exciting stars on the All Elite Wrestling roster. He was able to get over with the fans by dancing during his matches and entertaining them. Despite being one of the top stars, he has yet to win a major title in the company. Although he does not boast an impressive win-loss record, he does hold a very notable win over Bryan Danielson, which is a true testament to his skills as a wrestler.
Currently, Garcia is written off TV after he was brutally attacked by MJF in a controversial heel turn recently. It now looks like he is uncertain about his future. PWN is reporting that Garcia was "conflicted" about what to do next and was contemplating whether to stay in AEW or move to WWE.
Former AEW star Matt Hardy believes Daniel Garcia will become a star if he joins WWE
Since the report about Daniel Garcia's contract status broke, it has gotten a lot of people talking. Several wrestlers and critics have shared their thoughts on the matter.
Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy stated that if the 25-year-old stayed in AEW, then he would get to do a program with MJF, but if he left for WWE, he would possibly become a star. However, the veteran did note that Garcia was still very young and while he had the potential to be very good, the wrestling business was unpredictable.
"So I think DG [Daniel Garcia] is so young. Whatever decision he makes, if he stays at AEW, he’s going to be good. I think he’s gonna get an opportunity, and he is going to get the opportunity to do this thing with MJF, whatever it may be. I think if he goes to WWE, he’s going to be good. He’s gonna become a star. You just never know. It is hard to tell. I think he’s just so young," he said. [H/T - EWrestlingNews]
