Popular AEW star reacts to a potential match with CM Punk amid rumors of his return
Former AEW World Champion CM Punk has been touted as one of the most divisive stars in the promotion. Due to rumors of his return, fans wonder who he could face next, and "Four Pillar" Jungle Boy recently responded to speculation on whether he'd take on The Second City Saint.
Punk's actions at the All Out media scrum and his role in the Brawl Out Incident reportedly put a wedge between himself and a portion of the AEW roster. While it's unclear which stars on the roster are in which party, it seems like Jack Perry could just be on the anti-CM Punk side.
During his recent appearance alongside Anna Jay and Ruby Soho on For The Love Of Wrestling III, Jungle Boy briefly touched on the possibility of facing CM Punk but notably groaned at the question.
"We’d have to see, I don’t know," Jungle Boy said. [42:10 onward].
While stars like Jungle Boy seem to be unsure about facing CM Punk, Saraya recently gave a character account of the veteran. She also shared her positive experience with him since their time together in WWE.

Jim Cornette recently slammed Jungle Boy for his comments about AEW veteran Billy Gunn
During the same live Q&A, Jungle Boy also shockingly stated that he listens to Luchasarus over veterans like Billy Gunn when it comes to advise on his matches. According to the AEW star, he prefers to take heed from wrestlers with a similar style to his own.
During a recent episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, the veteran manager chastised Jungle Boy for valuing Luchasaurus over the WWE Hall of Famer.
"And Billy Gunn has absolutely nothing to offer because he thinks it’s ridiculous that you should do your own backflip and land on your own head multiple times in a match, especially if it’s not the finish. This is where this f**king clown’s head’s at." [06:53 onward]
Unfortunately for Billy Gunn, this isn't the first time a young star on the roster declines his advice, as the veteran has gone on record to point out many times before.
