Popular faction seemingly teases a heel turn after AEW Collision goes off the air

A popular AEW faction could potentially soon be turning to the dark side. The seeds were seemingly planted in a backstage segment following this week's episode of Collision.

Tensions have been running high between The Top Flight, Action Andretti, Leila Grey, and Lio Rush in recent weeks. Members of the group have suffered a few major losses as of late, with Rush being soundly defeated by Shelton Benjamin earlier this month on Dynamite and the trio of Andretti, Dante, and Darius Martin failing to dethrone AEW World Trios Champions Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta last week on Collision.

On the October 26, 2024 edition of Collision, Lio Rush unsuccessfully took on Ricochet in singles action. In a backstage digital exclusive shared on AEW's X/Twitter profile, the former WWE Superstar was confronted by Top Flight and Leila Grey, with Dante Martin seemingly reprimanding Rush for using a steel chair in the match.

However, Action Andretti would defend The Man Of The Hour, asserting that the group needed to be willing to do whatever was necessary to win in high-stakes bouts.

"Are you kidding me? You're complaining about him [Rush] using a chair? Do you not get it? When we are in big match situations like that, we need to do whatever the hell it takes to get the W. You [Darius Martin] get what I'm talking about, and I know deep down, y'all do too," said Action Andretti.

Rush agreed with Andretti, and evidently, so did Darius Martin, who argued that the stable may need to change its tactics to rack up victories and finally taste championship gold.

"What he [Andretti] said," said Rush.
