Popular star teases major debut at AEW All In after confirming talks with Tony Khan
A popular independent wrestling star recently teased his AEW debut at the upcoming All In Pay-Per-View. He had confirmed having talks with Tony Khan as well.
The star in question is the indie prospect, Michael Oku. Oku has been on the UK's independent wrestling scene for the past several years and he currently performs in Revolution Pro Wrestling and multiple other promotions. Moreover, the 31-year-old challenged MJF for the AEW American Championship at the recent RevPro Summer Sizzler event in a losing cause.
Michael Oku also confirmed his conversations with Tony Khan for a potential All Elite debut. Meanwhile, the 31-year-old star potentially teased making his AEW debut at the upcoming All In Pay-Per-View at Wembley Stadium in London, United Kingdom, during his interview with Stephanie Chase:
"Wembley Stadium. In my head, I was like, it would be cool if I won this title. They have a non-title, they don’t need the title, and I wrestle someone for the title at Wembley Stadium. But I would love to have a step-up from last year. So hey, there’s a Casino Gauntlet as well. There could be surprises there, and I would be very happy if my music as well plays. That’ll be very cool if my music plays at Wembley Stadium,” Michael Oku said. [H/T Ringside News]
AEW fans would be waiting to see whether Oku indeed makes his debut in the Tony Khan-led promotion at the All In 2024 Pay-Per-View.
Michael Oku is hopeful of getting a role at AEW All In 2024
Michael Oku also claimed that he has made a name for himself in the United Kingdom and could perform at a big show like the AEW All In 2024 Pay-Per-View. Oku said he would love to even have a small role in the show at Wembley Stadium:
"I feel like I’ve made enough of a name of myself in this country that if a big show’s happening in this country and there’s enough of a crossover with the AEW fans, at least the UK fans, that there would be some interest to see me do something, if it’s small, but a wrestling capacity, as Michael Oku, as me the wrestler on the show." Michael Oku is a great talent to watch out for and it remains to be seen whether he shows up at Wembley Stadium for the AEW All In 2024 Pay-Per-View.
