Potential worrying update on Bryan Danielson’s status for AEW Grand Slam 2024
Earlier tonight on AEW Collision, an update surfaced regarding Bryan Danielson's status heading into his match against Nigel McGuinness on Dynamite: Grand Slam. The show is set to take place less than two weeks from now.
There has been much confusion among fans, as Bryan Danielson was supposed to face Darby Allin for the AEW World Title on Dynamite: Grand Slam. However, Allin will now battle Jon Moxley, with the said championship opportunity on the line. According to McGuinness, Danielson not being cleared for the event was pure speculation, so he pounced at the chance to call dibs.
This match between the long-time rivals is not a done deal just yet, with Bryan's status unclear. On commentary, Tony Schiavone made it clear before Collision went off the air that based on what he had heard, The American Dragon had not been cleared, and there had been no concrete information on his condition. Schiavone also gave a heads-up to Nigel McGuinness to not get his hopes up.
"Again Nigel McGuinness, we must tell everybody that Bryan Danielson is not medically cleared. No one has seen or heard from him since the events that took place at All Out. He may not be able to show up for your match at Grand Slam."
Viewers must tune into next Wednesday's Dynamite for a potential update on Danielson's condition.
