Reason why Tony Khan didn't sign former WWE tag team to AEW revealed - Reports

There were reports that Tony Khan was in talks with former WWE Tag Team Champions. New details have come to light on why he hasn't signed them to AEW yet.

Grizzled Young Veterans were one of the most exciting teams in NXT UK. The duo even captured the NXT UK Tag Team Championships. However, since their arrival in NXT, they weren't able to gain traction. They were then rebranded as the DYAD and placed in a faction with Joe Gacy and Ava called The Schism.

After several months of being involved in meaningless storylines, Grizzled Young Veterans were released from the WWE last year. Since their release, they have been working in the Indies and have wrestled for several promotions including RevPro Wrestling, TNA, and even AEW. In fact, there were reports that Tony Khan was in contract negotiations with Grizzled Young Veterans but nothing was heard since.

During Fightful Select's recent Q&A session, Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that both parties "were far apart on money." However, it is still unknown if the contract talks have since broken down.

Saraya makes an urgent request to Tony Khan and The Young Bucks

AEW All In is set to take place this weekend from London, England. Next week's Dynamite show is also going to be held in England and will feature Toni Storm defending her AEW Women's World Championship against Saraya. However, Saraya is not going to be featured at All In.

Hence, Saraya took to social media to request Tony Khan and the Young Bucks to add her to the Women's World Title match at All In instead of facing the champion on Dynamite:

"Hey @TonyKhan @youngbucks do I HAVEEEE to wrestle Toni Wednesday or could you do me a birthday favour and just put me on All In? 👀," she wrote.

Check out her tweet here:

Toni Storm will have to defend her title against Mariah May at All In if she can get past Saraya on Dynamite.
