Recently returned AEW star seemingly re-injured on Dynamite
Tonight on AEW Dynamite, the medical staff had to come out, seeing as a recently returned star seemingly had his injury re-aggravated by his opponent during the show. This had major implications for their match tonight.
Powerhouse Hobbs returned to AEW two weeks ago following an almost seven-month hiatus due to injury. It was revealed that he was no longer with the Don Callis Family. He claimed that he was overlooked and abandoned by the faction and wanted retribution against them.
Tonight, AEW Dynamite began with an all-star eight-man tag match. Hobbs was in action alongside Ricochet, Will Ospreay, and Mark Davis. They faced the four active members of the Don Callis Family.
At a point in the match, Lance Archer wished to re-injure Powerhouse Hobbs' surgically repaired knee. He wrapped his leg around the steel step ringside while Brian Cage grabbed Will Ospreay and had him crash into the stairs and onto Hobbs' knee.

The ringside medical staff immediately checked the former TNT Champion. Seconds later, he was helped to the back, where he was limping. This left all his tag team partners in a handicap match for the rest of the bout. He made his return moments later but was still clearly banged up.
