Released WWE Superstar puts Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) and top AEW stars on notice
A former WWE star has teased some dream matches with Mercedes Mone and other AEW stars in a recent interview. The star also hinted at a bout against a popular tag team.
Tegan Nox (aka Nixon Newell) is known for her time in the Stamford-based promotion from 2018 to 2024. She was released in November last year along with many other stars. Nox has been active on the independent scene this year since leaving the Stamford-based promotion.
Speaking on the We Just Talk Wrestling podcast, Tegan Nox said she wants to team up with her girlfriend and popular indie wrestler, Miranda Alize, against former WWE tag team, The IIconics:
"I want to wrestle, obviously, my Mrs., she's an incredible wrestler herself, but I'm gonna cross that one off at the end of the month, and she's already told me she's gonna beat my ass. So I'm kind of scared. I wouldn't mind, honestly, me and the Mrs. tagging against the IIconics."
Tegan Nox further reflected on the dream matches she could have with top AEW stars such as Mercedes Mone, Kris Statlander, Athena, and Willow Nightingale in case she goes All Elite:
"There's so many. Kris Statlander, that could be a banger. Mercedes Mone, I'd like to run that back with her again. Athena, dude. There's so many people I want to wrestle Willow Nightingale. So many people. So many people I want to wrestle." [H/T Fightful]
Former WWE star also wants to battle the AEW Women's World Champion
Former WWE star Tegan Nox (aka Nixon Newell) teased a potential match with the current AEW Women's World Champion, Toni Storm. Newell revealed that she had known Toni for years. In the aforementioned interview, Tegan also teased a match with new All Elite Wrestling star, Alex Windsor:
"So Toni Storm's up there, just because I wrestled Toni for a very, very long time. I've known Toni for close to my entire career. So that's probably like 12 years I've known Tony. Alex Windsor, obviously, big history with her." [H/T Fightful]
While there are no rumors of Nixon Newell heading to AEW anytime soon, only time will tell if she ever goes All Elite.
