Renee Paquette comments on Jon Moxley's AEW anarchy and impact on their relationship
Renee Paquette has commented on how Jon Moxley’s current role in AEW is having an impact on their relationship. This will be an interesting one for the fans.
The real-life pair have been together since their time in WWE and are one of the most recognizable couples in the wrestling world. Jon Moxley lately has been pushed as the unstoppable heel in AEW and as for Renee, she is just busy doing her bit as backstage interviewer.
Surprisingly, the two have not yet crossed paths in AEW. She was speaking on Busted Open Radio when she revealed how Jon Moxley taking over AEW had affected her. She said that she and Moxley were the kind of people who would learn from each other and grow but not really come in the way of each others' jobs. She said she tried to steer clear of him and vice versa at work.
“I don’t know. I kind of just steer clear. The truth of it is, when Jon and I go to work, we’ve always been like this, he does his job and I do my job. We’ve always been like that. I honestly don’t even see him most of the day. He’s off doing his thing, I’m doing mine. I immensely respect what he does and I think that’s another level that helps me understand more of the wrestling business, my relationship with him. I love watching him do what he does. My job is different and I always really love what I get to bring to the table. I just stick to my job and I let him do his and then we reconvene at the end of the night,” she said. [H/T Fightful]
Jon Moxley calls Bryan Danielson his best friend
Jon Moxley pushed Bryan Danielson into retirement at AEW WrestleDream and many thought that it was the end of the road for the two.
However, that is not the case as the AEW World Champion has now called Bryan his best friend. He was speaking with TV Insider when he also said how he had to do what he did.
"It’s easy to get emotionally attached to a match with Bryan Danielson. One of my best friends and training partners and a guy I’ve been down the literal and proverbial roads with all around the world for years. There was an objective that needed to be completed. He had to be taken off the board as part of the big picture. He was a thing on a checklist. There was no way I was walking out of the building without getting the job done. I don’t have time to feel sad about it."
It is great to see that despite how things transpired, there is still a genuine bond between the two former WWE stars.
