Returning 56-year-old legend answers Jack Perry’s TNT title open challenge at AEW Collision: Grand Slam
A returning Japanese wrestling legend responded to the open challenge put on by Jack Perry on AEW Collision: Grand Slam. Perry has held the title for quite some time now.
The legend in question is Minoru Suzuki. On AEW Collision: Grand Slam, the current TNT Champion, Jack Perry, was slated to put on an open challenge for his title. Since winning it at Forbidden Door earlier this year, The Scapegoat has successfully defended it on a number of occasions against multiple stars on the roster.
Tonight, Perry's TNT Championship open challenge was answered by the returning Minoru Suzuki. The 56-year-old last appeared on AEW TV on the July 24 episode of Dynamite, where he was defeated by Chris Jericho in the FTW Title match. Suzuki gave Perry a tough fight in the title match tonight at Collision: Grand Slam.
However, Jack Perry managed to retain his title by countout after connecting with a DDT on the floor. After his victory, The Scapegoat tried to assault Minoru Suzuki, but Katsuyori Shibata showed up to save the day.
Only time will tell who will be the next to challenge Perry for the TNT Championship.
