Rey Fenix breaks silence after rumor of "ugly" backstage issues ahead of potential WWE move surfaces
The former AEW International Champion, Rey Fenix, broke his silence amid rumors regarding backstage issues in Tony Khan's promotion. Fenix will potentially be heading to the WWE after his current contract expires.
Rey Fenix has been with All Elite Wrestling ever since the inception of his promotion in 2019. He is known for his Lucha Bros tag team alongside his brother, Penta El Zero Miedo. Penta is now officially a free agent, but there is time left on Fenix's contract, as Tony Khan reportedly added some injury time to it. Meanwhile, Dr. Chris Featherstone on X (fka Twitter) noted that there is a real story regarding the Fenix situation, citing "huge injustice." Dr. Chris also stated that it would be "ugly" if Fenix decided to open up.
Interestingly, Fenix took notice of Dr. Chris' post and confirmed that the comments were accurate. The former International Champion replied by saying the following:
"so far the most accurate comment."
Furthermore, Fenix stated that he couldn't speak up now due to his contractual issues but assured that he would get the time to do so.
"Unfortunately, due to contractual issues i cannot speak now, but I will have my time."
