Ric Flair allegedly wanted his head shaved for an angle featuring WWE star Charlotte Flair (Exclusive)

Ric Flair has been involved in some of Charlotte Flair's angles in WWE, but according to former writer Vince Russo, The Nature Boy had plans to introduce her on television years before her WWE debut.

Flair might be a seasoned wrestler with some of the best matches on his record, but he's best known for the iconic TV angles he's been involved with. With his fiery promos, The Nature Boy has set himself apart from his peers, but did he sometimes go too far?

During a recent episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo recalled Ric Flair approaching him for an angle that would involve his entire family, including a 14-year-old Charlotte Flair.

"In WCW we’re doing the angle where his whole family, Charlotte was involved – what was she, 14? - the whole family’s involved in that. So, he comes up to me one day in TV, ‘Vince I got this idea. Bro, you gotta shave my head.’" (07:15 onward).

Check out the episode below:

"And I’m like, at that point now I’m Vince Russo [the] fan. I’m like: ‘Are you freaking nuts, bro?’ ‘No, no, no you gotta do it, it’ll be great heat!’ Never in a million years would it ever have been my idea to approach Ric Flair about shaving his head. So then, the next thing I know, I’m reading his book and it was my idea to shave his head!" (07:33 onward).

Ric Flair yet again called out AEW World Champion MJF

Friedman has often been compared to some of the greats in the industry, and while he reveres Roddy Piper, many believe he resembles Ric Flair more than any other legend. The Nature Boy notably made the same conclusions and called MJF out on social media.

"Do I Have To Spell It Out For You...," Flair posted.

The AEW World Champion notably caught wind of Flair's previous challenge to a match and jokingly suggested they have a "buried alive match." While it may seem unlikely that the two will compete in the ring, could they still be involved in an angle? Only time will tell.
